On September 4-8th, 2019 the Bundeschampionate was held at the German Equestrian Federation headquarters in Warendorf, Germany. It is the German Young Horse Championships for ponies and horses in dressage, show jumping, eventing and driving and the culmination of the German equestrian season requiring selections that are held in the previous months.
Amongst a very strong group of 44 horses, Di Magic (by Del Magico x Canaster I) and Andrea finish eighth in the Qualifier for the Finale of the Bundeschampionate (German Championship) for 6 Years Old Horses with an overall score of 8,0. Di Magic got the highest score in the walk of the day, being awarded an 9,5!
In the Small Final, Di Magic produced an energetic, harmonious and expressive test and once again placed at the eighth position. Unfortunately a small distraction caused a regrettable error after the extended canter on the left hand side, lowering the overall score and preventing Di Magic and Andrea (by 0,1 points!) from joining the Final on Saturday.
Despite Andrea’s arm fracture late June, Andrea wished to be back in the saddle to participate in the Bundeschampionate for which she was selected by winning the M Level test in Bulkau on May 31st. In just three weeks, Andrea got Di Magic back in shape and delivered great tests in Warendorf.
