Fragolino wins with 91,6% the Qualifier at the Belgium Championships

Competition

From August 17 through to the 20th, Fragolino and Justin participated in the Belgium Championships for Young Dressage Horses.

This was the second outing for the pair that have been together for just a few months.

The Championships consisted of three rounds, a first qualifier allowing the 7 highest scoring horses to go directly to the finals, a small final giving the possibility for the best three to go to the finals, and the finals. In total, 10 pairs participated in the Finals test which counted for the medals. Thirty two combinations participated in the 4 years old class.

Fragolino (Furst Samarant x Lissaro x Dancing Dynamite x Brentano II) went straight to the Finals, winning the qualifier with the outstanding score of 91,6% (almost 3,5% ahead of the horse placed 2nd). They were awarded 9,4 for the trot, 9,2 for the walk, 9 for the canter, 8,8 for submission and 9,4 for perspective.

The judges, consisting of Mr. C. Hess, Mr. H. Vanbiervliet, Mr. F. Leyman and Mr. C. Van den Heuvel, stated for Fragolino’s perspective the “international arena is calling”.

Unfortunately the judges gave very different marks during the Finals, despite a very similar presentation of the pair.

Congratulations to Justin for the amazing training and expressive test performed with Fragolino!
